Discount Tire Company Inc. is a privately owned, Scottsdale, Arizona-based retailer of automobile tires and wheels, offering major brands—including Dunlop, Goodyear, Michelin, and Bridgestone for tires and Enkei, Konig, and Weld Racing for wheels—as well as exclusive brands, such as Arizonian and Roadhugger for tires and MB Wheels, Victory Wheels, and Hot Wheels for automobile wheels. The company serves more than 40 million customers a year through a chain of some 650 stores in 19 states, located primarily in the West, Southwest, and Midwest. Due to a trademark conflict, stores in parts of California, Oregon, and Washington use the America's Tire Co. name. To service its stores, the company maintains four distribution centers. Discount Tire also operates a mail-order division, Discount Tire Direct, and a Mobile Unit that provides tire-changing services to southern California used car dealerships. The company is owned by the family of its founder, Bruce Halle, who remains chairman of the board.

If any inventor's story epitomizes dedication to a remarkable discovery thatfails to bring any financial reward to its originator, it is the life of Charles Goodyear. An acquaintance once described the inventor in these words: "Ifyou meet a man who has on an India-rubber cap, stock, coat, vest and shoes,with an India-rubber money purse, without a cent of money in it, it is he."Goodyear was born in 1800 in New Haven, Connecticut, the son of a hardware manufacturer and inventor. The frail and sickly young man began his disastrousbusiness career as a hardware salesman in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Ill health brought him back to Connecticut as his father's partner. In 1826 Goodyearand his bride, Clarissa, opened the first American hardware store as an outlet for the senior Goodyear's products. Both father and son went bankrupt in 1830.

Mourad Merwan Rim (born 1977, July 13 in Sarcelles, France), best known as Merwan Rim, is a French actor and singer-songwriter.At the age of 17, Merwan Rim started to learn and instruments as an autodidact. Realizing his gift in musical arts, Merwan decided to become a full-time musician. This decision led him into quitting Paris 13 University where he attended communication studies to enroll in Alice Dona Studios, a performing arts school for future professionals in September 2000. Nine months later, Merwan was cast as Ramses in the musical Les Dix Commandements. He first was Pow-Wow member Ahmed Mouici's alternate before he took over the role on one year later.

William James "Bill" O'Reilly, Jr. (born September 10, 1949) is an American television host, author, historian, syndicated columnist and political commentator. He is the host of the political commentary program The O'Reilly Factor on the Fox News Channel, which is the most watched cable news television program on American television. During the late 1970s and 1980s, he worked as a news reporter for various local television stations in the United States and eventually for CBS News and ABC News. From 1989 to 1995, he was anchor of the entertainment news program Inside Edition.O'Reilly is widely considered a conservative commentator though some of his positions diverge from conservative orthodoxy (in particular his opposition to the death penalty, and support for gun control and the environment).^[ O'Reilly is a registered "Independent" (See: Political views of Bill O'Reilly), and characterizes himself as a "traditionalist".O'Reilly is the author of ten books, and hosted The Radio Factor until early 2009.

Mr. Brouillard became a member of our Board in May 2004 and was appointed Lead Director on February 14, 2007. Mr. Brouillard served as interim Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer from May 2007 until January 2008. Mr. Brouillard retired as Chief Administrative and Financial Officer of H.E. Butt Grocery Company in June 2005, a position that he had held since February 1991. From 1977 to 1991, Mr. Brouillard held various positions with Hills Department Stores, including serving as President of that company.
