The Attorney General is our state’s top law enforcement official. The fundamental responsibilities of the Attorney General are to enforce Oregon law, aggressively investigate wrongdoing, and serve as legal counsel to state government.The individual Oregonians elect as their next Attorney General will have broad authority on a whole range of legal issues that impact OEA, including civil rights, collective bargaining, PERS, election and initiative reform, and consumer protection.John will make sure that all employers follow the letter of the law when negotiating new contracts. He will fight on behalf of employees during collective bargaining and use the power of the courts to stop employers that illegally interfere with union organizing.Oregon needs an attorney general who will take on powerful interests and hold them accountable when they break the law. I will work hard every day to fight on behalf of workers, consumers and parents.”
